The PGA TOUR heads to Ontario for the RBC Canadian Open on Thursday. This tournament follows up The Open Championship last week, and that one was as exciting as they come. Jordan Spieth ultimately came away with the win, and he put on a clutch performance for the ages to hold off Matt Kuchar in that one. Spieth will now take the week off, but there is still a solid field for this tournament. Dustin Johnson will be giving it a go this weekend, and he’ll be joined by Kuchar, Brandt Snedeker (if healthy), Charley Hoffman, Bubba Watson, and Jim Furyk. Jhonattan Vegas will also be out there, and he is the guy that came away with the win here a year ago. He shot a 12-under to hold off Dustin Johnson, Martin Laird, and Jon Rahm by one stroke apiece. With that out of the way, let’s now take a look at who might come away with the win in this year’s event:

Dustin Johnson (8-to-1) - Dustin Johnson unraveled a bit in the final round of The Open Championship last week, as the 33-year-old followed up a 64 on Saturday with a 77 on Sunday. Still, it was encouraging to see the superstar make the cut in this one. He had missed out on the U.S. Open after injuring his back before the event, and it was good to see him out there and healthy in a major. Now, look for Johnson to do everything he can to rack up some victories moving forward. At 8-to-1, his value is also very hard to pass up on.

Bubba Watson (30-to-1) - This has been a year to forget for Bubba Watson, but the lefty is definitely hoping to finish off the season strong. He has actually played pretty well in recent weeks, as he finished at 9-under at the John Deere Classic two weeks ago and shot a 1-over to finish tied for 27th at The Open Championship. That might not seem like a good score for a major, but it was a very tough course and Watson kept at it for a solid showing. Look for him to continue to improve and don’t pass up on him at 30-to-1.

Tony Finau (30-to-1) - Like Bubba Watson, Tony Finau also tied for 27th with a 1-over at The Open Championship last week. Finau played very well on Saturday, shooting a 67 in Round 3. It was his Round 2 score of 73 that really prevented him from placing a lot higher. Still, Finau is playing some good golf right now. He tied for 7th at The Greenbrier Classic two weeks earlier and has now finished inside the top-10 in three of his past five events. He’s a very talented golfer and is worth a shot at 30-to-1.

Smylie Kaufman (90-to-1) - Kaufman had really been struggling before playing in the Barbasol Championship last week, as he had missed four cuts in his previous seven tournaments in that one. Kaufman did, however, shoot a 15-under to finish tied for 12th last week. He really needed to come through and play a good tournament and he did just that. His confidence should be very high entering this one, and his 90-to-1 odds are rather enticing.
