OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER (11-13)

at SACRAMENTO KINGS (11-13)

Tip-off: Tuesday, 10:35 p.m. ET
Line: Oklahoma City -7.5, Total: 207

The Thunder look to win their seventh consecutive game when they visit the struggling Kings on Tuesday night.

Oklahoma City may have had a rough start to the year with both Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook sidelined due to injuries, but at full strength it has proven once again that it is a force to be reckoned with. Since Durant rejoined the club, they are 6-1 SU (4-3 ATS) and have gone 8-1 SU (6-3 ATS) since Nov. 26. The, offense has picked it up since his return, and is averaging 106.1 PPG in the past seven contests, which includes blowing out the Suns by a score of 112-88 as 7.5-point home favorites on Sunday. Despite turning the ball over 18 times in the victory, the defense held a usually potent Phoenix offense to a mere 34.3% shooting from the field and out-rebounded them 49-26. Sacramento recently went through a coaching change, firing Michael Malone as the front office wanted to move towards a more free-flowing offensive game. Losing also could have been part of the firing, as the team is 2-8 SU (2-7-1 ATS) since Nov. 26, which includes bringing a three-game losing skid into this one. On Saturday, Sacramento hosted Detroit as a 5.5-point favorite and once again was unable to get the job done, as it took a 95-90 loss behind a horrible effort from the field (35.5% FG). The road has not been kind to Oklahoma City so far this year, evidenced by a 4-8 SU mark (3-8-1 ATS) in away games, while the Kings are 6-7 SU (5-8 ATS) in front of their hometown faithful. These teams already met once this year, and despite the Thunder missing their top two players, they were able to rattle off a nice 101-93 win as 2-point home underdogs after amassing a 52-39 halftime lead. That marked the 11th straight game that the Thunder had won SU against Sacramento dating back to the 2012 campaign while they are 6-4-1 ATS in that time, as they had an average margin of victory of 11.5 PPG. Bettors should know that Oklahoma City is 12-4 ATS (75%) after one or more consecutive Overs this season, while the Kings are an impressive 17-4 ATS (81%) after having lost eight or more of their past 10 games in the past three seasons. Injuries have certainly changed the outlook for both of these teams, and while the Thunder are finally at full strength, Sacramento continues to be hampered by the absence of C DeMarcus Cousins (Illness) who is dealing with viral meningitis and is out indefinitely. Kings PF Omri Casspi (knee) is also expected to miss Tuesday's game.

While StatFox Forecaster has a stellar 61% ATS record (68-43) in featured games this season, the five experts have also caught fire with a collective 71% ATS mark (41-17-2) in NBA Best Bets since Nov. 29. StatFox Brian is 12-1 ATS during this timeframe to give him a 63% ATS record (22-13) in NBA Best Bets this season, while StatFox Gary is 10-2 ATS since Nov. 29 to improve to 63% ATS (22-13) in NBA Best Bets this season. Also during this surge, StatFox Dave is 8-3-1 ATS and StatFox Scott is 7-5 ATS.

Overall on the season, the Thunder’s offense has been able to score just 95.4 PPG (8th-worst in league), but this should not be looked at as what they are capable of since they are playing at a much higher level with their two superstars back in the fold. On the other end of the court, they have locked down defensively all season long, and are actually the top scoring defense in the league while allowing opponents to score a mere 94.0 PPG against them behind 41.7% shooting (2nd in league). PG Russell Westbrook (25.8 PPG, 6.8 APG, 5.8 RPG, 1.7 SPG) has been a machine since his return, shooting 49% from the field and is coming off yet another solid all-around performance in the win over Phoenix (28 points, 8 assists, 8 rebounds, 2 steals). He’s had the opportunity to face the Kings 20 times in his career where he's averaged 19.8 PPG (46% FG), 7.7 APG, 5.4 RPG and 1.3 SPG. SF Kevin Durant (20.9 PPG, 5.7 RPG, 4.0 APG) has been on a minutes restriction since returning, but head coach Scott Brooks did say on Sunday that his playing time was going to be increased going forward. This is a good thing since Durant has put up 28.2 PPG (50% FG) to go along with 6.8 RPG and 1.5 SPG over 25 career meetings with Sacramento. PF Serge Ibaka (14.7 PPG, 6.9 RPG, 2.1 BPG) has been a much better player with Durant and Westbrook back in the lineup, and has been able to go back to being an efficient offensive player while hitting on 61% of his shots over the past five contests. In the four games against the Kings last season, Ibaka managed to score 15.0 PPG (51% FG) while grabbing 6.8 RPG and swatting away 2.0 BPG.

With the recent coaching change to interim coach Tyrone Corbin, Sacramento is hoping to improve on its average offensive output, which has netted 101.0 PPG (16th in league) as it is making 45.3% of its shots. On the defensive side of things, the Kings are allowing 101.3 PPG (11th-worst in league) while opponents are hitting just 43.9% of their field goal attempts (7th in league). SF Rudy Gay (21.1 PPG, 6.4 RPG, 4.7 APG, 1.1 SPG) has had to carry the team with Cousins out, but is a mere 10-for-40 (25% FG) from the field while averaging 16.5 PPG, 8.0 RPG, 8.0 APG and 2.0 SPG over the past two games. He’s been decent in his career (23 games, 22 starts) against the Thunder, netting 19.0 PPG (43% FG) to go along with 6.4 RPG and 1.3 SPG. PG Darren Collison (16.0 PPG, 6.3 APG, 1.6 SPG) has also seen his scoring output increase, and he averaged 22.0 PPG over a four-game stretch before a horrible outing (3 points, 7 assists, 2 blocks, 1 steal) in the loss to Detroit. He was not all that effective in his four games coming off the bench against Oklahoma City last season either, dropping in 6.8 PPG (33% FG) and dishing out 2.0 APG. SG Ben McLemore (11.7 PPG, 3.1 RPG) has had a nice three-game stretch coming into this one, as he is averaging 16.7 PPG while making 9-of-17 three-pointers (53%) in that time. He was also solid the first time these teams met this season, finishing with 16 points on 6-for-9 shooting.
