Argentina looks for ultimate revenge on Chile in Copa America Final.

Argentina and Chile met in the final of the 2015 edition of the Copa America, and Chile ultimately prevailed in penalties. Argentina defeated Chile 2-1 in this year’s group stage, but a win in the final would be complete revenge for the Albiceleste. Sergio Romero will start in net for the Argentines, with Gabriel Mercado, Ramiro Funes Mori, Nicolas Otamendi, and Marcos Rojo in defense. The midfield will feature Javier Mascherano and Ever Banega, with Erik Lamela likely to get the nod with Augusto Fernandez out injured. Up front, Lionel Messi and Gonzalo Higuain will start, with Angel Di Maria returning to the side after an injury of his own. Chile has looked incredibly strong since being defeated in the group stage opener against Argentina, reeling off four consecutive wins, including a 7-0 demolition of Mexico and a comfortable 2-0 win over Colombia. Goalkeeper Claudio Bravo will captain the side, with Mauricio Isla, Gary Medel, Gonzalo Jara, and Jean Beausejour in an immensely experienced backline. Arturo Vidal, Charles Aranguiz, and Marcelo Diaz should start in midfield, with Alexis Sanchez, Eduardo Vargas, and Edson Puch in attack. These two sides have looked absolutely rampant in the tournament thus far, and over 2.5 goals should be scored. Argentina will indeed exact its revenge on Sunday night with a satisfying 3-1 victory for the nation’s first major title since 1993.
