DENVER BRONCOS (10-3)
at PITTSBURGH STEELERS (8-5)

Kickoff: Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET
Line: Pittsburgh -6.5, Total: 44.5

Denver’s top-ranked, but banged up defense will get one of its toughest tests of the season in Week 15, when the Broncos head east to face Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers.

Denver (10-3 SU, 7-5-1 ATS) put on another brilliant defensive performance, but got little from its offense in a 15-12 loss to Oakland, snapping Denver’s 8-game win streak in the rivalry dating back to 2011. Brock Osweiler was sacked five times – all by Oakland LB Khalil Mack --, while the rushing attack ‘led’ by Ronnie Hillman mustered a season-low 34 yards. The Broncos have lost three of six SU following a 7-0 start. The Steelers (8-5 SU, 7-4-2 ATS) caught an early break when Andy Dalton left with a thumb injury in the first quarter, then intercepted AJ McCarron twice, including one pick-six, in a 33-20 win on the road against Cincinnati, preventing the Bengals from clinching the AFC North, and keeping pace at 8-5 with the Chiefs and Jets, the current AFC wild card teams. The Steelers won their 9th consecutive December game, despite gaining their fewest total yards since Week 7. Trends for the game swing heavily in Pittsburgh’s favor. Brock Osweiler is 2-2 ATS in his four season/career starts, while Ben Roethlisberger is 26-18 ATS in home games since the start of the 2010 season. Denver is 0-3 ATS this season when allowing 100-125 rushing yards, as well as just 1-8 ATS following a divisional game since the start of last season. Pittsburgh is 12-4 ATS in their last 16 games, including a 4-1 mark this season, after scoring 30 or more points the previous game. Mike Tomlin is 43-31 ATS in home games as Pittsburgh’s head coach. Pittsburgh is 38-17 ATS when playing a team with a winning percentage greater than 75% since 1992. Since 2013, the Steelers are also 22-11 ATS following the first month of the season, and 15-7 ATS in the second half of the season. For Denver, S David Bruton (knee), WR Andre Caldwell (quad), S Omar Bolden (groin), and LB Danny Trevathan (concussion) are all questionable. For Pittsburgh, WR Sammie Coates (illness) is questionable.

Denver’s defense has been dominant all season, allowing more than 300 total yards only five times. For the year, they’ve allowed 272.5 total YPG, 188.2 passing YPG, and 17.3 PPG (all 1st in NFL). Turnovers have been a concern for the Broncos on offense, as the 20 INTs thrown rank 1st in the league, and the team is 0-3 in games where their turnover margin is at least -2. Brock Osweiler will need to take care of the ball in this game, but he also can’t be afraid to let it fly. He looked tentative against the Raiders a week ago, throwing for an impressive 308 yards but failing to get his team into the end zone.

Long known for their dominating defense these days, it’s Pittsburgh’s offense that’s giving opponents nightmares. This season, the Steelers are in the top 5 in total YPG, passing YPG, and PPG. A big reason for all of that is WR Antonio Brown, who enters Week 15 action 2nd or T-2nd in the league in receptions, receiving yards, 20+ yard receptions, and yards after catch; the Steelers are also 6-1 SU (5-1-1 ATS) this season when Brown catches at least seven passes. Ben Roethlisberger will be looking to get Brown the ball in open space, as he is by far his favorite weapon. Brown’s presence also allows Martavis Bryant to work one-on-one on the outside for a majority of Pittsburgh’s game.
