MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES (54-26)

at GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS (65-15)

Tip-off: Monday, 10:35 p.m. ET
Line: N/A, Total: N/A

The Warriors go for their third straight victory Monday when they face a Memphis team that is desperately trying to get the second seed in the Western Conference playoffs.

The Grizzlies went into Los Angeles on Saturday and lost 94-86 as 9.5-point underdogs against the Clippers. Memphis had won four of its past five games SU before that one and has still not allowed an opponent to score over 100 points in its past six games. The Warriors have been hot pretty much all season and head into this game after beating the Timberwolves 110-101 as 19.5-point home favorites for their second straight win SU. They have now won 14 of their past 16 games SU and are looking to keep up their dominant play heading into the postseason. These teams have met twice this season and they have split wins both SU and ATS. Over the past three seasons, Memphis is 6-3 SU and ATS versus Golden State and 3-1 SU and ATS when playing at home in this series. The Grizzlies are 6-1 ATS when revenging a home loss versus an opponent this season and 7-1 ATS off a cover where they lost the game SU as an underdog as well. The Warriors, however, are 15-4 ATS after playing two consecutive games at home this season. PG Mike Conley (Ankle), C Marc Gasol (Ankle) and SF Jeff Green (Back) are all questionable for Memphis in this game. SG Leandro Barbosa (Achilles) is questionable for Golden State in this one.

StatFox Gary has a strong 57% ATS (41-31-1) mark in NBA Best Bets since Jan. 1, and is 56% ATS (66-53-1) this season. StatFox Scott is also sizzling with a 60% ATS record (47-32-1) in Best Bets since Dec. 21, improving his record to 56% ATS (66-53-1) for the season. StatFox Zach is a scorching 65% ATS (47-25-1) in NBA Best Bets since Jan. 2 to sit at 53% ATS (63-55-2) for the season, while StatFox Dave is a robust 65% ATS (35-19) in NBA Best Bets since Jan. 28 and 53% ATS (63-56-1) for the season.

The Grizzlies are looking to improve their seed in the playoffs, but they are going to be dealing with a number of question marks against the Warriors. C Marc Gasol (17.4 PPG, 7.8 RPG, 3.8 APG, 1.6 BPG), PG Mike Conley (15.8 PPG, 5.4 APG, 3.0 RPG, 1.3 SPG) and SF Jeff Green (15.1 PPG, 4.3 RPG) are all questionable for this game and that is going to seriously hurt the team. Gasol is averaging 18.5 PPG against the Warriors this season and Mike Conley is averaging 16.5 PPG and 5.0 APG versus the team as well. Conley also happens to be the only player with the quickness to stay in front of Steph Curry for an entire game. With these players either out or playing at less than 100%, PF Zach Randolph (16.2 PPG, 10.6 RPG, 2.2 APG) is going to need to play at an extremely high level in order to come away with a road upset. Randolph had 21 points, 13 boards five assists and three steals in a loss to the Clippers last game but is averaging just 13.5 PPG and 6.5 RPG in two games against Golden State this season. He must use his size to pick on Draymond Green around the basket.

The Warriors have won two straight games and PG Stephen Curry (24.0 PPG, 7.7 APG, 4.3 RPG, 2.0 SPG) has been playing like a man possessed. Over the past two games, Curry is averaging 39.5 PPG, 8.5 APG and 2.0 SPG. He is 13-for-24 from the outside in those contests and should be able to light up the Grizzlies, who will be playing with either an injured Mike Conley or no Conley at all. SG Klay Thompson (21.3 PPG, 1.1 SPG) is averaging 24.5 PPG over the past two games after averaging just 6.5 PPG in the two games before that. He is finding his stroke and now faces a Grizzlies team that is going to struggle to guard opposing shooting guards until Tony Allen returns from injury. He’s averaging 25.0 PPG in 33.5 MPG against Memphis this season. PF Draymond Green (11.8 PPG, 8.2 RPG, 3.7 APG, 1.6 SPG, 1.3 BPG) is going to be the Warriors’ most important player in this game. Memphis is going to be feeding Zach Randolph plenty in this one and Green must hold his own on defense. He has been playing very well offensively too, posting double-doubles in three straight games. If he can hit some shots in this game and do his job defending Randolph then the Warriors should come away with a home victory here.
