NASCAR Sprint Cup Series
Sylvania 300

Sunday, September 21 – 2:00 p.m. EDT
New Hampshire Motor Speedway – Loudon, NH

The Chase for the Cup continues in the Northeast on Sunday as the NASCAR drivers try their luck at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in the Sylvania 300. This intermediate track known as "The Magic Mile," was completed in 1990 and is a 1.058-mile oval with variable degrees (2-to-7) of banking on the turns, with a 1-degree banking on the two stretches, which both measure 1,500 feet. Two months ago, Brad Keselowski became the 13th different driver to win in the past 13 starts at this track.

Here is the Bet DSI betting breakdown for Sunday's race:

Drivers to Watch

Jimmie Johnson (8/1) - These odds aren’t too bad for Johnson, who has three career wins, nine top-5's (36%) and 17 top-10's (68%) in 25 starts at Loudon, where Johnson owns the second-best average finish (10.5) among all drivers with more than one start. Since 2007, he has a single-digit finish in 12-of-15 New Hampshire races, which could've been 13 had he not crashed in July after starting second. He's also desperate for a good showing after dropping four places in the points standings last week. Johnson is our pick to win Sunday's race.

Tony Stewart (30/1) - His odds keep rising in this New Hampshire race, as Stewart had 12-to-1 odds last July, 20-to-1 odds two months ago, and now he's up to 30-to-1. Considering how much success he's had in this New England venue (14 top-5's in 30 starts), this price tag seems almost too good to be true. Stewart's 11.7 average finish at Loudon ranks fifth among active drivers, as he's taken home the checkered flag three times, in 2000, 2005 and 2011, and has been the race's runner-up finisher five times (1999, 2005, 2006, 2010 and 2011). Two months ago, he placed seventh at this track. At 30-to-1, you won't find better value on the board than Stewart.

Denny Hamlin (12/1) - Hamlin's odds have more than doubled since he was tabbed with a 5-to-1 price in last year's Camping World RV Sales 301. Not only does Hamlin own the best average finish (8.9) at this venue in the history of NASCAR among drivers with multiple New Hampshire starts, but he has done this with a pedestrian average starting spot of 12.6. Over his past 10 starts in Loudon, Hamlin has cranked out five top-3 finishes, which included his second win at this venue in 2012. Hamlin also has top-9 showings in seven of his past 10 races this season, which has given him a fighting chance to win a points championship. At 12-to-1, Hamlin is worthy of a small wager.

Kasey Kahne (20/1) - Kahne's odds continue to favor bettors at this venue, going from 8-to-1 last September to 12-to-1 in July and up to the current price of 20-to-1. That's a bit strange considering he won at this track in 2012 and has led at least one lap in six of his past nine Loudon races. Kahne also won three weeks ago in Atlanta and is desperate to stay in the Chase by going all-out for a victory. With darkhorse odds, Kahne is worthy of a one-unit bet.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. (100/1) - There aren't many longshots on the board this weekend, but Stenhouse certainly qualifies. His five top-10's this season aren't great, but one of those came at Loudon where he placed 9th despite a starting spot of 22. Stenhouse is clearly the most enticing triple-digit play on the board.
