OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER (56-21)

at LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS (55-23)

Tip-off: Wednesday, 10:35 p.m. ET
Line: Los Angeles -3.5, Total: 212.5

Two of the top teams in the Western Conference clash in a late-season battle on Wednesday when the Thunder visit the Clippers.

Oklahoma City will be playing its fourth and final game of its current road trip where the club is only 1-2 (SU and ATS). But after giving up 116.5 PPG in losses to both the Rockets and Suns, the team held the Kings to 92 points on 41.5% FG in a 15-point rout on Tuesday night. SF Caron Butler hit all six of his three-pointers in the game, finishing with 23 points and helping the Thunder to a 107-92 victory as 9.5-point favorites. The Clippers have been nearly unbeatable recently -- 18-3 SU (13-7-1 ATS) since Feb. 23 -- and are coming off a blowout win against the cross-town rival Lakers. They defeated the lesser L.A. team by a score of 120-97, easily covering the lofty 15.5-point spread while outshooting the Lakers 57% FG to 42% FG. It was the first time they reached 120 points since March 6 when they dropped a season-high 142 points on the Lakers. The road win for the Thunder on Tuesday put their record away from home to 24-14 SU (19-19 ATS). Playing at home has been an easy win for the most part for Los Angeles with a 32-6 SU record, but the club is an even 19-19 ATS in front of its fans. The season series between these two elite teams has gone the way of the Clippers thus far, with wins (SU and ATS) in two of the first three games. They traveled to Oklahoma City in the most recent meeting on Feb. 23 and outscored them 125-117 as 5.5-point underdogs, and the win seemed to light a fire under them as they ran off an 11-game winning streak following that contest. The matchup has been very even over the past three seasons though, with the teams splitting 10 games both SU and ATS and the total going over in 8-of-10 contests. The Thunder have done well revenging an SU loss to their opponent as a favorite over the past three seasons, going 32-18 (64%). Meanwhile, L.A. is 23-12 ATS (66%) after having won two of its past three games this season. Oklahoma City enters Wednesday with no significant injuries while SG Jamal Crawford (Achilles) and SF Danny Granger (hamstring) continue to be out indefinitely for the host Clippers.

The Thunder have the fifth-highest scoring offense this season (106.3 PPG) while getting 110.2 PPG over their past five contests; all of which were played against Western Conference opponents. Their defense has been strong as well, limiting opposing teams to 99.7 PPG (11th in NBA) against them this season. They have also held opponents to 96 points or fewer in seven of their past 11 games. SF Kevin Durant (32.0 PPG, 7.6 RPG, 5.6 APG, 1.3 SPG) saw his streak of 41 straight contests with at least 25 points snapped on Tuesday night when he dropped 23 points on 8-of-13 shooting against the Kings. He should be able to get back to scoring 25 points when he faces the Clippers, as he has averaged 29.0 PPG (47% FG) to go along with 7.5 RPG over 24 career games against them. PG Russell Westbrook (21.5 PPG, 6.9 APG, 5.5 RPG, 1.9 SPG) sat out of Tuesday night’s game as it was the less important one of the back-to-back, and he scored 33 points with eight assists in Sunday’s loss to the Suns. He has actually not played his best offensively against L.A. in 21 career games (20 starts), scoring only 16.4 PPG on 36% FG), but has still pitched in 6.0 APG, 4.6 RPG and 1.6 SPG. PF Serge Ibaka (15.2 PPG, 8.6 RPG, 2.6 BPG) has scored 17.0 PPG (55% FG) over the past five games, but has not recorded a block in either of the past two, something he had done only six times previously this season. He’s been stellar offensively in three meetings with Los Angeles this season with 16.7 PPG on 75% FG, but has a meager 4.3 RPG and 1.7 BPG.

The Clippers bring the most diverse and explosive offense to this game while leading the league with 107.8 PPG. Amazingly enough, they have bolstered that number over their past five games, putting up a tremendous 114.2 PPG (48% FG), but allowing their opponents to get 105.8 PPG (44% FG) in the same time. On the season, they have given up 100.7 PPG (14th in league). PG Chris Paul (19.0 PPG, 10.8 RPG, 2.5 SPG) has scored at least 20 points with 3+ steals in four of his past five games, and has led Los Angeles to the third most assists in the league (24.5 APG). He has always played well against the Thunder, averaging a double-double (18.0 PPG, 10.0 APG) while adding 2.6 SPG over 29 career games. PF Blake Griffin (24.0 PPG, 9.6 RPG, 1.1 SPG) has 24.0 PPG, 8.5 RPG, 8.0 APG and 2.0 SPG over his past two games, which included a triple-double against the Mavericks on Thursday night. He’s had all-around great performances against Oklahoma City in three meetings this season, scoring 23.0 PPG (50% FG) while adding 9.7 RPG, 6.0 APG and 1.7 SPG. C DeAndre Jordan (10.4 PPG, 13.8 RPG, 2.4 BPG) is shooting a league-leading 67.4% from the field and has been huge over his past five games, averaging 13.4 PPG (75% FG), 14.8 RPG and 3.4 BPG. The Thunder had no answer for him either, allowing him to score 12.3 PPG (64% FG), grab 11.0 RPG and produce 1.3 BPG over three games.
