PHOENIX SUNS (38-28)

at BROOKLYN NETS (33-31)

Tip-off: Monday, 7:35 p.m. ET
Line: Brooklyn -4.5, Total: 206.5

The Suns look to cap off a perfect three-game East Coast road trip on Monday night, but it won't be easy when the visit a Nets team that hasn't suffered a home loss since January.

Phoenix has been one of the better stories in the NBA this season, but is a mediocre 5-7 SU (7-5 ATS) in its past dozen games. However, Monday marks its third straight contest on the East Coast in just four nights. The Suns have been victorious (both SU and ATS) in the first two games, including a 121-113 win at Toronto on Sunday. They were four-point underdogs in the game, but made 51% FG (11-of-23 threes) and held a commanding 45-26 rebounding advantage to secure the victory. Brooklyn had a disappointing start to this season but has come around as of late; winning seven of its past nine games SU and ATS. The club is also riding an eight-game home win streak, improving the club to 15-2 in its past 17 games at Barclays Center. The Nets did take a 101-94 loss in Washington as 2.5-point favorites on Saturday though, which snapped their three-game win streak. Phoenix's victory on Sunday pushed its SU road record to 16-15, but the team has been an incredible 23-8 ATS away from home (best in NBA). Meanwhile, the Nets' recent home surge improves their season record to a strong 20-11 SU and 18-13 ATS. Brooklyn traveled to Phoenix earlier this season and grabbed a 100-98 victory in overtime despite being a one-point underdog. The game was decided by a last-second shot from SG Joe Johnson in an equal matchup. The Nets have won the past four games in this series SU (3-1 ATS) with each of the past two wins coming by just two points. The Suns have been one of the most profitable teams to bet on all season long, putting together an incredible record of 19-5 ATS (79%) when the total is 200 to 209.5 points this season. On the other hand, Brooklyn is 21-11 ATS (66%) after one or more consecutive Unders this season. Phoenix has no significant injuries in this contest, while the Nets will continue to be without C Brook Lopez (foot) for the season and PF Kevin Garnett (back) is questionable for Monday's game.

With 105.4 PPG (6th in NBA) of offense this season, the Suns have exceeded expectations, and are coming off a huge 121-point performance against the Raptors on Sunday. They’ve struggled on defense though, and have given up 105.6 PPG over their past five contests and 102.9 PPG on the season. PG Goran Dragic (20.5 PPG, 6.1 APG, 1.3 SPG) has become the leader on this team and has scored 19+ points in eight of his past nine games. He scored just 13.9 PPG (52% FG) with 4.9 APG over 10 career games against Brooklyn, but excelled against them in the last meeting with 19 points and 10 assists. PG Eric Bledsoe (17.8 PPG, 5.8 APG, 4.4 RPG) will be making his fourth appearance since missing 33 games with a meniscus injury and has averaged 15.3 PPG (39% FG), 5.7 RPG and 5.3 APG in his first three. He’s played just six career games against the Nets, scoring only 8.0 PPG (42% FG) with 3.7 RPG. SG Gerald Green (15.6 PPG, 39% threes) is coming off a huge game against the Raptors when he scored 28 points with five rebounds. But he has averaged just 7.4 PPG (38% FG) in 12 career games against his Monday opponent.

Brooklyn has not been all that impressive on offense this season, netting 97.4 PPG (9th-worst in NBA) and just 94.6 PPG (47% FG) over its past five games. The reason the Nets have been doing so well lately is because of their solid defensive play which is allowing opponents to score only 95.8 PPG over the past five contests and 97.4 PPG on the season. PG Deron Williams (14.0 PPG, 6.4 APG, 1.3 SPG) is playing well below his career averages this season and has scored only 12.0 PPG over his past four games. Over 25 career meetings with the Suns, Williams has 17.8 PPG (44% FG) while adding 9.5 APG. SG Joe Johnson (15.0 PPG, 39% threes) is coming off a solid game (16 points, 7 rebounds) in the loss to the Wizards, and hit two huge shots to help defeat Phoenix earlier this season. He scored just 13 points on 6-of-19 shooting in the game while grabbing five rebounds. SF Paul Pierce (13.5 PPG, 4.8 RPG) scored 29 points in the big win over the Heat on Wednesday, proving he still has it in him to compete against top-notch competition. He’s had some excellent games over his 27 career starts against the Suns, scoring 22.7 PPG (43% FG) while grabbing 6.2 RPG.
