The Atlanta Braves will send veteran left-hander Dallas Keuchel to the mound on Wednesday afternoon as they shoot for another series win.

Keuchel (3-2, 3.09 ERA) goes against Brewers right-hander Chase Anderson (4-2, 4.27) in the finale of a three-game series in Milwaukee.

The Brewers tied the series with a 13-1 win on Tuesday night, a decision that ended Atlanta's five-game winning streak.

The Braves are aiming to win their 10th series in their last 11, having gone 9-0-1 in the past 10 series. They have not lost a series since dropping two of three at Pittsburgh from June 4-6. The Braves are 20-7-3 in series this season.

The Brewers are 3-9-4 in their past 16 series, with all three wins coming against Pittsburgh. Milwaukee's last series win over a team other than the Pirates came May 13-16 when the Brewers won three of four at Philadelphia.

Keuchel, signed as a free agent in June, has been outstanding in his three starts in July, going 2-1 with a 2.11 ERA. He pitched the first game after the All-Star break and allowed only one run in seven innings in San Diego during a 5-3 win over the Padres.

"He's a master on the mound," Atlanta left fielder Charlie Culberson said. "He knows what he's doing. He knows how to pitch. I'm glad he's on our team and we don't have to face him."

Keuchel is seeking his first career win against the Brewers. In four previous starts vs. Milwaukee, he is 0-3 with a 9.50 ERA.

Chase Anderson will make his 19th appearance and 14th start of the season for the Brewers. He is 3-2 with a 4.23 ERA since joining the rotation. He received a no-decision in his last start on Friday against San Francisco when he allowed two runs in five innings.

Anderson is 2-0 with a 4.10 ERA in five career starts against Atlanta. He faced the Braves on May 18 in Atlanta and was not involved in the decision. He allowed one earned -- it was unearned -- in four innings of a game the Braves eventually won 4-3 in 10 innings.

The Brewers hope to see Lorenzo Cain's bat continue to heat up. Cain, who underwent a cryotherapy procedure on his right thumb on June 25, was 2-for-5 on Tuesday and is 8-for-24 (.333) on the current homestand.

"We've seen Lorenzo over the last 10 games or so get his offensive game back," Milwaukee manager Craig Counsell said. "The quality of his at-bats has significantly improved, going back before the break. When we get him back offensively, I think we're a different team. It's something that we need to have happen and feel like it's happening."

The Braves placed left-hander Max Fried on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a blister on his left index finger. He had to leave Monday's game after five scoreless innings. Manager Brian Snitker said it made more sense to take care of the problem and not risk making it worse.

"I think if we stay in front of this and get it back healed -- he went a long time without that being an issue at all," Snitker said. "We just don't want it to be something that lingers for two months. So, I think we just back him off and get it good, and hopefully this will be the end of it."
