A Smorgasbord of NCAA tournament betting information!

With all of the talk this week by experts about which lower seeds can pull the upsets on Thursday and Friday, StatFox figured it would try the opposite approach and analyze which favorites are likeliest to take care of business. After all, favorites covering a spread are just as important to the ATS bettor as underdogs. StatFox Doug and StatFox Steve each list a handful of games where they feel the chalk has he edge. For instance Doug seems to be looking at the favorites in the Wichita State - Seton Hall & Georgetown - Northern Iowa games among others, while Steve has similar thoughts about the Texas - Pennsylvania & Illinois - Air Force games. Of course, as always, the gentlemen have again agreed to disagree on a number of things.

One of the more intriguing games of the first round matches a pair of tournament-experienced teams in Southern Illinois and West Virginia. SIU comes in at 22-10, champion of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. The Mountaineers meanwhile, stumbled down the stretch but received an at-large berth via their 20-10 mark out of the Big East.
