Denver at Houston
The battle for playoff positioning in the NBA with just five days remaining in the regular season isn't as dramatic as it has been in past seasons, but there are still a few interesting races going on. The most heated is for the 5th, 6th, & 7th spots in the Western Conference. As of Friday, just a single game separated Sacramento, Houston, and Denver in that race. Two of those teams get together on Saturday night and that key matchup is the StatFox FREE NBA FoxSheet of the week. Denver, of course, has been on fire of late. George Karl really has turned this team around, so much in fact that the Nuggets currently sit atop the StatFox NBA Power Ratings. Before Friday's game vs Memphis, they had won their last nine game overall. Denver has also converted nine of its last 10 games on the road. They start a difficult two game road stretch here in Houston before taking on Phoenix on Monday. The Rockets come into this game riding a four game winning streak. This is the second in a four game homestand to close the regular season for Houston, which in itself may provide them with the necessary lift to ascend in the conference standings. However, these teams also know that the potential best position for them to end up in could be 6th. That team would face a struggling Seattle squad in the first round.
